Custard ice-cream

An indulgent treat made even more creamier with the addition of double-cream.

Serve over malva pudding, waffles or just on it’s own in a cone?.

Process

Ensure that the ice-cream machine bowl has been frozen from the day/night before.

Whip the double cream and powdered sugar until light and fluffy and gently fold in the vanilla custard.

Pour into the ice-cream machine and churn until thick and creamy.

Store ice-cream in an air-tight container and freeze.

Ingredients

  • 1 litre Ultra-Mel vanilla custard or any other store bought vanilla custard
  • 250 ml double cream
  • 2 tbs powdered sugar
